"Grade A", "Grade B", "Grade C"... These terms show up everywhere when people talk about pre-owned devices. But what do they really mean? And why does it matter so much?
The grading scale, explained simply
Grade A — Very good condition
- Screen: No scratches visible to the naked eye, even in full light
- Body: Very light signs of use, visible only at an angle (or none at all)
- Function: 100% working, every component tested
- Battery: At least 80% of original capacity (often 85-90%)
- Overall look: Hard to tell apart from a new one
Grade B — Good condition
- Screen: May have light, superficial scratches that are visible
- Body: Some visible signs of use, possibly small scuffs
- Function: 100% working
- Battery: At least 75-80%
- Price: 15-25% cheaper than Grade A
Grade C — Fair condition
- Screen: Visible scratches, possibly minor impacts
- Body: Significant signs of use, possibly dents
- Function: Everything works
- Battery: Can be at 70-75%
- Price: 30-40% cheaper than Grade A
Why Relab only sells Grade A
Here is our clear position: Grade B and C cost you in after-sales service. Customers who buy Grade B often come back unhappy with the look — even when everything works. Grade A removes that problem.
Our promise: every device sold at Relab looks like new to the naked eye. If you're not satisfied when you receive it, you get a free return within 7 days.
